Gear Buddy Opinion
The Backland series was designed to be light enough to handle uphill, while being stable enough to provide reliable and fun decent. The 100 version is the most versatile of the collection due to its light weight of just 1380g per ski in conjunction with its versitile width that can handle a wide variety of snow conditions.
With the entirely dialed-in-by-now sidecut, rocker-camber-rocker, width and overall shape of an expert ski for variable conditions (backcountry neve, corn, and powder and resort crud and groomers) and the Backland 100's weight this is the perfect AT-oriented quiver-of-one ski. Period.
