Gear Buddy Opinion
The Rustler 9 is the narrowest ski in the in the Rustler Freeride lineup. This is the ski of choice for those individuals who don't see as much snow. Or for the beginer/intermediate looking for a more playful ski that won't hinder their ability to further develop skiing technique
Originally bought 2020 skis, but started to peel around the heels after a couple of runs. EVO helped get them replaced under warranty with a pair of 2021 skis. New graphics but unchanged construction. Have taken them for 4 full days in New England, and I think these might be the perfect skis for the northeast. Solid and damp on hardpack. Just tip and they'll turn like they're on rails. Also incredibly easy to smear and slash in bumps and trees. Haven't taken them in powder yet, but at 92mm underfoot and light with rocker at tips and tails, I have no doubt they'll be fine for occasionally powder days.
