Ibex 84 Carbon
Gear Buddy Opinion
The Ibex series was developed as a touring specific series for long back country missions. The 84 weighs just 1270 g per ski and is a strong ski that provides power on the downhill and exceptional light weight performance for the uphill.
I have been skiing on the green Ibex 84 Carbon since the season it was released. I am ski guiding full-season, and the ski is my preferred late-season ski (the Ripstick 96 is my main ski). The Ibex 84 Carbon is light but not superlight, but I think the weight just hits the sweet spot for balance and stability. It skis very well, even in difficult snow - and it keeps up with bigger skis on the downhill as well. Where it really shines is steep terrain. I always look forward to when the days get long in Arctic Norway. and the time to lighten the load with the Ibex comes. Long traverses, steep terrain, ski expeditions, or even a few laps on the pistes - it can handle it all. A true favourite!
