Gear Buddy Opinion
The mindbender series was developed by K2 to suit the needs of Freeride and all mountain skiers. These skis come in a wide variety of sizes and widths suitable for a wide variety of uses and skier types. These skis have moderate flex and while they are not suitable for the park, they are suitable for turning the mountain into your park. The 90 is best suited to front-side skiing for higher level beginners and intermediates.
I have been on the MB 90 Ti mounted up with NTN Telemark bindings and find that it is the most playful and versatile tele skis that I have ever owned. The one major improvement over the Pinnacle Ti is the crazy good edge hood on eastern hard pack. This ski is a one quiver eastern ski and deserves much higher marks in the ski testing magazine results. I like it so much that I recently picked up a pair of MB 99 Ti and mounted them for alpine. I haven’t been able to give them a fair test due to our fickle NH weather. But so far I am feeling some greatness with the extra girth. They have the edge hold but we haven’t had a good dumping yet to get them into some deep stuff. Both widths are quick turning and very playful with lots of energy and they don’t mind some speed
