Gear Buddy Opinion
The Commander series was made for hard charging all mountain skiers who are looking for a stiff and energetic ski. The 108 is the widest of the series. Despite its wide waist which is suitable to deeper conditions. These skis are rigid enough for hard carving in any condition. More so, they also are damp enough to plow through chop with ease.
Holy shit. Two days on these things so far. These crud busting, mogul chomping, take you for the ride of your life, monsters. The Commander 108 is by far the most advanced ski I've ever ridden. I was extremely surprised to feel how snappy these things actually were. I was expecting long, slow, and smooth when coming down early season bumps, but in those tighter and steeper spots I was still able to maneuver the ski incredibly well. Can't wait to get these babies into some deeper snow and newer chop. I'm 6'4", 200lbs and got the 194. Wildly happy with it, but I am curious how the 188 would perform.
